Coach Steve Glassey
Coach Steve Glassey had the vision of what a wrestling camp should be in 1980. The first C.O.C. wrestling camps started in Southern California as a (3) day Spring Wrestling Camp. Three years later the 5-Day Wrestling Camp was structured, then the rest is history. For 36 years the C.O.C. has become the leader in West Coast wrestling camps. The “Elite” Intensive Camp has been the most popular training camp in California, every year this camp yields several state champions and placers from wrestlers from across the nation.
The C.O.C. “Elite Team Camp” in San Diego is the most popular team competition camp in the western states, teams from 15 different states travel to get the best team development west of the Mississippi. Many team camps have tried to follow the structure and organization of the team camp but the C.O.C. has always been the leader at this camp philosophy.
The C.O.C. is now preparing the nation with new camps across America, Hawaii and Florida are the new sites that will get “C.O.C. Trained” for the 2016 summer.
Whether you are looking for a “All Girls Camp”, HWT Training Camp, Youth Camp, intensive camp or competition camp…The C.O.C. has the best systematic format for maximum development, the choice is yours!
As a coach, Steve Glassey has coached successfully at the international level, collegiate level, community college, high school and youth programs. His athletes have been collegiate national champions, high school national champions, many state champions. His motto is to “Be a champion on and off the mat”.
As a competitor, Coach Glassey competed on the All Army Wrestling Team for (3) years. Winning Inter-Service championships for the Army team in Greco-Roman and representing the US Military at the C.I.S.M. Games. After competing in the military, he competed at CSU Fullerton and was a 2 X conference finalist as a Titan.
Coach Glassey has been on the mat since 1968. His many years of competition and coaching has given him the insight to bring the finest wrestling camps to wrestlers of all ages the finest opportunity to develop like no other camp can offer in the nation. He hopes you make the choice of being a part of the C.O.C. tradition.
